The Healthcare Management Associate Programme (MAP) is a 2-year programme aimed at grooming graduates with outstanding leadership qualities for a challenging and fulfilling career ahead in the National Healthcare Group.

Career Opportunities
Over at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, there are 3 Career Development Tracks available to establish structured career progression for our medical staff. This provides doctors with proper career progression tracks that will allow them to pursue career goals according to their different interests and competencies, and actualize their full potential.
The 3 Career Development Tracks available are as follows:
- SPECIALIST TRACK
This track is designed for doctors who wish to be trained as specialists. Fresh medical graduates can complete their housemanship to become Medical Officers and receive the Basic Specialist Training (BST) programme. With the completion of the BST and a recognized postgraduate degree, Medical Officers can advance to become service registrars, who will receive the Advanced Specialist Training (AST) programme. Once the AST programme is completed, they will be promoted to specialists where there will be opportunities for leadership, training and teaching.
- RESIDENT PHYSICIAN TRACK
This track is for doctors who do not aspire to be specialists, but want to remain working in a hospital setting. Resident Physicians can progress to become Senior Resident Physicians and Principal Resident Physicians where they will undertake senior roles, supervisory, teaching and clinical responsibilities.
- FAMILY PHYSICIAN TRACK
This track is for doctors who want to pursue a career in Family Medicine. Family Physician will receive higher and enlarged responsibilities such as overseeing implementation of clinical programmes and leading/ participating in research projects as they promote to Senior Family Physician, Consultant Family Physician and Senior Consultant Family Physician.
Nursing
Enrolled Nurses (EN) and Registered Nurses (RN) work hand in hand in the care delivery process.
Career Opportunities
Registered Nurse (RN): The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care for patients under their care. With their competencies and knowledge, they perform and follow up with prescribed treatments and procedures to meet the patients' physical and emotional needs. They collaborate and cooperate with other healthcare professionals for a smooth delivery of care and services.
Enrolled Nurse (EN): The EN will assist the RN in the care delivery process. They plan and coordinate basic nursing care independently, and assist the RN and other healthcare professionals in the procedure, treatment and examination of the patient. They also provide related caregiver training so that patients receive appropriate care after discharge.
Allied Health
Our Allied Health staff are here to enhance our patients’ experience and support them at every step of their healthcare journey.

Pharmacists: Provides safe, efficient and timely distribution (dispensing) of drugs, review and deliver drug therapy to achieve optimal pharmacotherapy outcome for patients.
Pharmacy Assistants / Technicians: Serve as the vital link between pharmacy services and patients through frontline interactions and backend operations. Handle patient enquiries, financial counselling, and medication verification whilst ensuring accurate prescription processing and inventory management to support seamless pharmaceutical care delivery.
Career Conversion

The Professional Conversion Programme (PCP) initiated by the Workforce Singapore (WSG) is designed to help Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians (PMETs) acquire new skills or to make a career switch and find a job in the growing sectors.
