
Your Clinic Visit
Information to help you prepare for your visit to our Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs).
Notice:
1) Please note that consultations at our SOCs are by appointment only. Other than emergency cases, appointments for admission to TTSH are made during your visit to our SOCs. Only one accompanying person (including caregiver) will be allowed in our SOCs at any one time.
2) Mask-wearing will continue to be required at Clinic 1C, Clinic 5A, National Tuberculosis Care Centre (NTBCC), Radiotherapy Centre, Day Surgery Centre and Endoscopy Centre for visitors and patients. You are strongly encouraged to mask up in the hospital if you are a senior, medically vulnerable or have ARI symptoms.
3) Our Feedback Form is going DIGITAL! Please share your insights and words of encouragement or appreciation for our care team. After your Hospital visit, you will receive an SMS from TTSH inviting you to take part in our online survey to share about your experience. The Hospital respects the privacy and confidentiality of our patients. Any information you provide will be handled with utmost care.
TTSH Specialist Outpatient Clinics (SOCs)
Whether you are visiting for a first consultation, a follow-up appointment, diagnostic tests, or ongoing treatment, our SOCs are designed to provide seamless care across a wide range of medical and surgical specialties.
Patient Classification
Subsidised

- Subsidised patient referred by a Government / Restructured Hospital / Polyclinic without specifying a consultant by name
- Previously discharged from class B2 or C ward and require outpatient follow-up treatment
Non-subsidised

- A self-referred / walk-in case (subject to doctor availability and SOC’s schedule on a day-to-day basis)
- Referred by General Practitioner (GP)
- Referred by Government / Restructured Hospital or Polyclinic, specifying a consultant by name
- Industrial Accident case
- Previously discharged from class A or B1 ward and requires outpatient follow-up treatment
- A non-resident
- Private patient from other hospitals
Step 1
You are encouraged to check how much medication(s) you have left before your appointment.
Step 2
Please come at least 15 minutes before your appointment time for registration with your identity card / passport.
Step 3
Upon registration, you will be given a queue number and the consultation room number of your doctor.
Step 4
Please take a seat and wait for your number to be flashed on the monitor outside the consultation room.
Step 5
Your doctor will then see you.
Step 6
After your appointment, you may place a medication delivery order to have your medications delivered right to your doorstep.

Request an appointment (subsidised patients)
If you have a referral from a polyclinic doctor and do not select a specific specialist at our Specialist Outpatient Clinic (SOC), you may enjoy government subsidies for your consultation and treatment.
Do note that you may be attended to by different doctors during the course of your treatment. The polyclinic will usually help schedule your specialist appointment on your behalf.
If you were seen at our Emergency Department or discharged from our hospital and require specialist follow-up, our care team will arrange and advise you on your SOC appointment.

Request appointments (non-subsidised patients and international patients)
The PEARL Liaison Centre (PLC) can help you schedule an appointment with your preferred specialist at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). Whether you are seeking a second opinion or need support in coordinating multiple appointments across different disciplines, PLC will guide you through the process to ensure a seamless experience.

What should I bring?
On your first visit to the specialist clinic, please bring the following documents for registration:
Personal document
- NRIC
- Birth Certificate (if you are below 12 years old)
- Passport
Employment Pass/ Work Permit
- Referral letter (if any)
- Any medical benefit identification documents (e.g. Civil Service Card, Medical Benefits Card, etc)
Update or cancel appointment
To cancel or update your appointment, please call 6357 7000 or email ttsh.enquiry@nhghealth.com.sg. Calls are available during these times Mondays to Fridays 8.00 am to 5.00 pm and Saturdays 8.00 am to 12.00 pm.
Payment

Please make payment in the NHG Health App after your consultation. For more information, please refer to the charges of outpatient consultation service.
Follow-up appointments

Please bring NRIC/work pass for subsequent visits. The card helps to speed up the registration process for your convenience. Kindly also update the clinic whenever there is a change in your address/mobile number.
Medication

Please proceed to Pharmacy to collect your medication. Our pharmacies are located at Basement 2, Level 2 and Level 4.

If you have not been to the clinic for the last 1 year, your next visit will be considered a First Visit and charged as a First Consultation.
All other services such as investigations, medication, procedures etc are charged separately.

Am I eligible?

Teleconsulation may be offered for the subsequent clinic visit. It is for patients who have clinically stable conditions.
You may approach your healthcare provider to find out if you are suitable for Telehealth.
What do I need to do to join Telehealth?

For video consultation, you will need to have a valid email address, smartphone or computer with ZOOM Cloud Meeting application installed.

For phone consultation, your doctor will call you to begin your consultation.
Can someone else accompany me?

Yes, they may be present. Our staff will first clarify with you if there is any family member or caregiver by your side.
What about my medications?

After the Teleconsultation, the medicine can be arranged to be delivered to your doorstep, or you may collect it from our pharmacy.
Please note that delivery charges may apply.
What happens if I need medical certificate?

If an MC is issued, it will be posted to you. Alternatively, you can collect it from the clinic.
How do I make payment?

Your bill will be mailed to you, and you can make payment via any of the options listed on the overleaf of the bill.
