About the Health for Generations Fund (HGF)
In 1844, Mr Tan Tock Seng, a Peranakan Chinese businessman, together with a group of merchants in the community, established Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), the first hospital started by and for the people of Singapore.
For nearly two centuries, our hospital has been caring for generations of families in Singapore, expanding our capabilities and capacities with each generation. Our legacy is not just a reflection of the past but a blueprint for the future.
Looking ahead, we foresee that sustainability will be key to building resilience in the healthcare system — one that is not only able to withstand future healthcare challenges but also deliver better health outcomes in the long term.
The Health for Generations Fund (HGF) will support this important work across four pillars:
- Innovation
- Preventive Healthcare
- Capability Advancement
- ESG Initiatives
We envision a transformative health system committed to driving innovation, advancing health equity for the vulnerable, and developing the skills, knowledge and resources needed to meet growing healthcare demands, including ESG initiatives, for the health of our people and our planet.
But this is a journey that we cannot take on alone.
Your donation towards the HGF will enable TTSH to work alongside our communities, partners and stakeholders across the National Healthcare Group (NHG) towards a more resilient future — one that is dedicated to anchoring care in both the present and the future, giving health for all, and ensuring Health for Generations.
