Your Gift Helped Him Move Forward

For Mr Foo Fung Liang, being able to move around on his own makes a daily difference. Gifts from donors helped him regain some of that independence. Mr Foo was working as a consultant in the United States when an armed robbery in 2005 left him paralysed from the waist down. He returned to Singapore for further treatment at TTSH, but his condition made it difficult to continue working.

“Because of my condition, I am unable to sit up for more than two or three hours a day. This means that I am not even able to hold down a freelance job. Having a wheelchair and being able to move around on your own helps a lot,” said Mr Foo. Through your gifts helped provide a hospital bed, an air mattress, and a power device to motorise his wheelchair. The support helped him rest more comfortably and move around more independently.
