Collection Instructions:
1. Defecate stool into a clean, dry bedpan.
2. Do not pass specimen into the toilet bowl or toilet paper. Toilet paper may contain barium salts which are inhibitory for some faecal pathogens.
3. Use the sterile screw capped container with attached spatula to collect the stool specimen.
4. Send specimen to the laboratory immediately.
