Woodlands Hospice
Located within Woodlands Hospital, Woodlands Hospice provides compassionate, specialist palliative care for people facing terminal illness, with a focus on comfort, dignity and quality of life.
About Us
Nestled within Woodlands Hospital, the hospice wards have been thoughtfully designed as healing environments, with warm, homely spaces where patients and their families can feel at ease during one of life's most profound journeys. Patients benefit from round-the-clock specialist palliative care while retaining seamless access to hospital services, meaning that comfort is never compromised for clinical need.
Beyond medical care, Woodlands Hospice embraces a holistic approach to wellbeing. A rich range of therapeutic programmes (including music therapy, art therapy, and spiritual care) supports patients and families emotionally and spiritually. Volunteers and community partners play an active role in enriching daily life, from shared meals to meaningful moments of connection.
Woodlands Hospice is also committed to breaking down the barriers that have long surrounded conversations about death and dying. Through caregiver education, peer support networks, and bereavement services, the hospice reaches beyond its walls to support the wider community. This is because good end-of-life care begins long before a patient arrives, and continues long after.
This is not just a place to receive care. It is a place to live one's final chapter with dignity, comfort, and love.
We are located at Level 7, Tower E, Woodlands Hospital.
We provide holistic, person-centred palliative care for patients facing terminal illness. Our multidisciplinary team looks after your physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs.
Our services include:
Inpatient palliative care: round-the-clock symptom management and comfort care, with access to hospital-level treatments such as IV blood transfusions and IV antibiotics, where appropriate
Music therapy: personalised sessions with a dedicated music therapist; music created during therapy can serve as meaningful keepsakes for families
Art therapy and spiritual care: supporting emotional and spiritual wellbeing for patients and families
Volunteer-led programmes: including befriending and reminiscing through food items
Caregiver and bereavement support: we offer education, peer networks and bereavement support in a safe, welcoming space for families and the wider community

Woodlands Hospice cares for patients living with advanced, life-limiting illnesses where curative treatment is no longer the focus. Our team has experience supporting patients with conditions including advanced cancer and organ failure, among others.
Our goal is not to cure, but to ensure that every patient receives the utmost care and support he/she needs.
Our palliative care team tailors treatment to each patient's needs and wishes. We focus on managing pain and symptoms, while supporting overall quality of life.
Treatments and interventions we offer include pain and symptom management, treatment of potentially reversible conditions such as infections, music therapy, art therapy, spiritual care, and psychosocial support. Where appropriate, patients can also access broader hospital resources without needing to be transferred out of the hospice.
Woodlands Hospice is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of doctors, nurses and allied health professionals. Many of our team members have been supporting palliative patients at Woodlands Hospital since May 2024, bringing both experience and continuity to the care we provide.
