Collection Instructions:
Submit one of the following: Blood, bone marrow aspirate OR urine.
For blood collection:
1. Draw sufficient blood into lavender top tube.
2. Gently invert the tube 8 - 10 times.
3. Send specimen to the laboratory immediately.
For bone marrow aspirate collection:
1. Collect into lavender top tube.
2. Gently invert the tube 8 - 10 times.
3. Send specimen to the laboratory immediately.
For urine collection:
1. Refer to https://www.wh.com.sg/labs/Specimens/Pages/Specimens-Collection.aspx for collection of urine.
2. Collect midstream urine in sterile screw-capped container .
3. Send specimen to the laboratory immediately.
