Collection Instructions:
This test should be ordered in conjunction with Amino Acid, Plasma, Quantitative. Specimens for both tests (plasma and CSF) should be collected within 1 hour.
1. Collect specimen in a sterile screw-capped container.
2. Chill specimen immediately in either crushed ice or an ice pack. The coolant must cover the specimen level in the container.
3. Send specimen to the laboratory immediately.
