1. Outpatient Pharmacy Services
IMH’s Outpatient Pharmacy provides the following services:
Review prescription and dispense medication
Provide counselling on the safe and effective use of medication
Provide minor ailment consultation and advice on proper self-medication

2. Inpatient Pharmacy Services
Provide medication reconciliation upon admission and discharge
Review Inpatient Medication Orders
Optimise medication use
Supply medicines to the wards
Provide counselling on the safe and effective use of medication
Provide group medication education to patients and caregivers
Dispense medication for home leave and discharge prescriptions

3. Medication Information Service
Our pharmacists attend to phone enquiries from staff and patients and provide useful information on concerns related to their medicines, such as their side effects and drug interactions.
4. Brown Bag Service
We also provide a Brown Bag Service to review all the medications that a patient is taking. This service is recommended for patients who have excess medicines and are unsure about their safety and use. Our goal is to identify the medication the patient is taking and determine how they are taking them to prevent medication errors or to correct misunderstanding. Medication counselling and practical advice will be provided, if necessary. Expired medicines will be identified and discarded accordingly. For more information, please approach our pharmacy staff at the counter.
5. Smoking Cessation Programme
Our pharmacists create individualised programmes with patients who are keen to quit smoking. This programme will review a perons’s smoking profile and medication history, recommend methods to quit smoking and advise on coping skills as well as relapse prevention methods.
6. Medication Management Service (available at the pharmacy in IMH Clinic B, Community Wellness Clinics at Queenstown and Geylang)
Dedicated pharmacists provide personalised medication management service to optimise treatment outcomes in collaboration with the doctor and multi-disciplinary team.
Review the suitability, effectiveness and safety of medication treatment
Identify, resolve, prevent and monitor medication use and safety problems, such as medication side effects, interactions between psychiatric and non-psychiatric medications, etc.
Provide education and information to help patients improve understanding of their medications and improve medication adherence.
