Ms Clara Tan Si Hua

Biography
Ms Clara Tan is currently a Senior Research Officer at Clinical Research Unit, Khoo Teck Puat Hospital. She graduated with a Master of Science (MSc) in Genetics of Human Diseases from the University of College London (UK) in 2016. Her research interest includes young-onset diabetes and she has been working on monogenic diabetes for more than 10 years. She and her team members have established the KTPH-NHG Monogenic Diabetes Registry in 2017 for better understanding of the prevalence and spectrum of monogenic diabetes in the local population. She is also working on young-onset type 2 diabetes, by studying the lifestyle, behavioural choices, clinical and molecular profile of affected individuals.
