Trainees shall acquire the clinical and basic science knowledge that is relevant to dermatological practice. This forms the foundation for professional competence in dermatology. For attachment in general dermatology, there is an administrative fee of SGD750 for attachment of 1 week and SGD1500 for attachment of 2 weeks; administrative fee for attachment of beyond 2 weeks to 4 weeks is SGD3000.
Candidates, on completion of the programme will be awarded the NSC Observership Certificates in Dermatology.
Objective
This attachment enables visiting doctors to sit in with NSC doctors and observe the management of dermatological conditions. Besides exposure to several dermatology clinics, participants will be given the opportunity to sit at the various sub-specialty clinics. They will also attend all teaching sessions conducted at the centre during their attachment.
Participants will be given a valuable insight into how a teaching dermatological referral centre manages patient work-flow and learn from experts regarding treatment of skin diseases.

Candidates interested in a more in-depth training can participate full time programme. For attachment in general dermatology, there is an administrative fee of SGD750 for attachment of 1 week and SGD1500 for attachement of 2 weeks; administrative fee for attachment of SGD3000 for beyond 2 weeks to 4 weeks.
Candidates will be guided to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of clinical dermatology through lectures and attachments in clinics. They will also participate in patient care. This programme also includes basic dermatopathology and dermatosurgery, as well as management of STD.
Candidates, on completion of the programme will be awarded the NSC Fellowship Certificates in Dermatology.
Entry requirement;
A recognised basic degree in medicine
Traineeship or specialist degree in dermatology
Objective:
The Fellowship Programme is designed for trainees and specialists and related disciplines to acquire knowledge and expertise in subspecialties in Dermatology.
The courses comprise of:
Tutorials on the theoretical aspects of the subspecialty
Exposure to the subspecialty clinics
Exposure to practical procedures of the subspecialty

NSC Observational Fellowship
Hands-off Observership Programme
The National Skin Centre welcomes foreign doctors to apply for our observership programme, designed to enhance clinical and basic science knowledge in dermatological practice. The programme runs for a maximum of four weeks (28 days).
Programme Overview
Gain valuable exposure to the dynamic field of dermatology through our structured observational attachment programme. Participants will have the opportunity to shadow NSC doctors and observe the management of a broad spectrum of dermatological conditions.
In addition to general dermatology clinics, the programme includes access to subspecialty clinics and teaching sessions. Participants may also join the inpatient dermatology team to review complex medical dermatology cases, providing a comprehensive learning experience.
The programme can be customised to meet your training objectives, subject to the availability of subspecialty clinics.
Please note: Surgical, aesthetic, and laser components are not included in this attachment.
What You'll Gain
Through this programme, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of how a leading dermatological referral centre manages patient care and workflow. You'll learn directly from experts in the field about evidence-based approaches to treating skin diseases, whilst experiencing the operations of a teaching hospital environment.
Certification
Upon successful completion of the programme, participants will receive a letter of completion.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the Hands-off Observership Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a recognised medical degree
- Be registered as a medical practitioner in the country where you are currently practising
Programme Fee and Costs
Administrative Fee: S$900 per week (minimum 2 weeks)
What's Not Included:
- No stipend or financial support is provided
- Accommodation is not provided
- Visa arrangements are the applicant's responsibility
Accepted applicants must make their own arrangements for visa applications and accommodation during their stay.
