Background
Non-melanoma skin cancers such as basal cell carcinomas and squamous cell carcinomas are the most common skin cancers. Surgery remains the principal form of treatment. As incomplete tumour excision portends a potentially increased risk of tumour recurrence, one of the primary goals of our dermatologic surgeons is to ensure that they are adequately excised
Clinical Indicator
Rate of Incomplete Tumor Excision: Our rates of incomplete tumour excision for both Basal Cell Carcinomas and Squamous Cell Carcinomas are consistently monitored with low rates of incomplete excisions. The experience of our surgeons, along with adherence to recommended excision margins, allows us to achieve favorable outcomes in our patients.
