PGY1@Woodlands Health

The Woodlands Health PGY1 Programme is a work-based training programme which aims to bridge the gap between medical school and future unsupervised, independent practice. We are a large hospital with over 1000 acute and community hospital inpatient beds, emergency department with trauma capabilities, 127 outpatient clinic rooms, 24 operating theatres and 80 ICU beds at maximum capacity.
The breadth of specialty services and patient load in Woodlands Health ensures that newly registered doctors receive adequate clinical exposure to develop the clinical and professional skills needed to deliver safe and effective patient care, to prepare you for future training across different specialties and pathways.
You will be supported by good clinical supervision by numerous clinician educators who have won awards and accolades at the cluster and institution level. The programme advocates for protected teaching time, balanced work hours and numerous wellness and engagement initiatives to ensure your learning needs and your well-being are taken care of during your time with us.
