About NHG Fund
The National Healthcare Group Fund (NHG Fund) was established on 1 September 2016 (UEN: 201623926M) as the charity arm of National Healthcare Group Pte Ltd (NHG). NHG Fund is a registered charity with Institutions of a Public Character (IPC) status.
The objectives of NHG Fund are to support the pursuit of medical research and the promotion, development, and provision of health-related services that benefit the Singapore community. These include:
- Advancing medical, nursing, paramedical, and related education through training programmes, conferences, conventions, seminars, and exhibitions.
- Publishing research findings, educational journals, reports, magazines, books, and materials.
- Providing and improving equipment and facilities for research and development.
- Providing funded healthcare to eligible patients in need of financial assistance.
- Supporting the setup and/or activities of patient and patient-related support groups.
- Developing human capital and infrastructure for medical institutions and organisations in the community, through collaborations or otherwise, to meet future healthcare and health-related needs.
- Other activities that further these objectives, as approved by the Directors, with the understanding that activities are not for commercial or profit-driven purposes.
NHG Fund is governed by an independent Board responsible for overseeing its administration. The Board is supported by the NHG Research Committee for research programmes and the NHG Developmental Awards Selection Panels for talent development awards.
