Biodata
Dr Sarah Tan is a Consultant in the Emergency Department at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 2015, followed by Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS) in 2016 and Master of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) in 2020. She completed her Emergency Medicine Residency and was accredited as a Specialist in 2024. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), and completed the National Prehospital Fellowship under the Unit for Prehospital Emergency Care (UPEC).
Her professional interests include resuscitation, pre-hospital emergency care, medical education, and quality improvement. She contributes to national initiatives under UPEC, including the National Community Emergency and Resilience (NCER) workgroup, and plays an active role in developing paramedic standards and scopes of practice.
An experienced educator, Dr Tan holds teaching appointments with the Yong Loo Lin and Lee Kong Chian Schools of Medicine. She was awarded the NHG Teaching Award for Junior Doctors in recognition of her contributions to medical education.
