Dr Lam graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore (NUS), and subsequently obtained her Master of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) from NUS. She achieved specialist accreditation in Emergency Medicine in 2022.

Dr Lam’s clinical interests include emerging infectious diseases and clinical governance, with a strong focus on enhancing systems that support safe and effective patient care. Dr Lam also serves as the department liaison for the ED–Infectious Diseases Outpatient Parenteral Antibiotic Therapy (OPAT) Workgroup, the Antimicrobial Stewardship Programme Workgroup, and is the department’s representative for Corporate Communications.
