Dr John Chua completed medical school at the University of Melbourne in 2004 and returned to Singapore to work the following year. He first started working in TTSH Emergency Department (ED) as a medical officer in 2009 and subsequently joined the ED as a Resident Physician in 2010. He worked in this role until 2014 when he joined the Emergency Medicine Residency training program and exited as an Emergency Medicine Specialist in 2018.

Dr Chua’s clinical interests include general emergency care, liaison with the primary care sector, and transition of care after ED discharge, including transfer to Mobile Inpatient Care at home (TTSH@Home).
