Dr. Lim Chiow Teen is a Senior Consultant in Respiratory Medicine, Head of Department for General Medicine and Divisional Chairman for Medicine at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH). With fellowships from both the Royal College of Physicians of London and Edinburgh, Dr. Lim's medical journey began at the University of Sheffield, where she earned her basic medical degree and intercalated science degree.Her clinical practice spans over two decades, with specialty training in respiratory medicine, airway allergy and asthma at several UK institutions. As a respiratory medicine specialist, Dr. Lim has developed an interest in non-invasive ventilation (NIV) and complex respiratory conditions. She has set up and continues to lead the NIV services at KTPH.
Dr. Lim maintains active clinical teaching roles at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Her understanding of respiratory medicine and general medicine is demonstrated through her published case studies in journals including AJRCCM, Chest, and Respirology.
Dr. Lim continues to contribute to the respiratory medicine services, undergraduate and postgraduate medical education while leading one of KTPH's key medical departments and divisions.
