Dr Yew Yik Weng is a Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore, and serves as Head of the Research Division. He is also the Chief of the Eczema Unit, where he leads the service in managing patients with chronic inflammatory skin conditions.
His clinical work focuses on eczema and related inflammatory dermatoses, including patients with moderate to severe disease that require long-term and structured management. He manages a wide spectrum of cases, from common presentations to more complex conditions requiring advanced therapies. His approach emphasises sustained disease control, patient education, and improving overall quality of life.
In addition to his clinical responsibilities, Dr Yew plays a key role in advancing dermatology research within NSC. As Head of the Research Division, he is involved in developing and overseeing research initiatives, contributing to the evidence base in dermatology and supporting the translation of research findings into clinical practice. His work often bridges clinical care and research, particularly in inflammatory skin diseases.
Dr Yew is also actively engaged in teaching and training and is a regular speaker at regional and international conferences. He contributes to academic discussions and collaborates with research and clinical teams both locally and abroad.
