Dr Bernice Heng is a Consultant in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital in Singapore. She also serves as a Visiting Consultant at Woodlands Hospital. She graduated from the National University of Singapore (2014). After obtaining her MRCS (Glasgow), she completed the Hand Surgery Residency programme in 2021. In addition to treating general hand conditions, her clinical interests include complex trauma and microsurgical reconstruction and nerve related injuries.  She was awarded the American Society for Surgery of the Hand International Traveling fellowship in 2023 which broadened her horizons in recent surgical advances in nerve related pain injuries and prosthesis use. Other clinical roles involve both undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.

Dr Bernice recognises the need for patient-centred and personalised care to restore function to an injured hand and upper limb which not only functions as a vital tool for independence but also as a visible and expressive part of who we are.
