Dr Fahim Haider Jafary is a graduate of Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi. After graduation, he completed his post-graduate training in Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, Texas, and Cardiology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology, and is also certified by the Certification Boards of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. Dr Jafary is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Coronary Angiography and Interventions.

Dr Jafary is currently a Senior Consultant in the Department of Cardiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. He served as Head of Nuclear Cardiology and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Services from 2010 to 2020.

As a board-certified interventionalist, Dr Jafary performs cardiovascular interventions including angioplasty and stenting. He is a high-volume operator performing at least 250 interventions a year, with a special interest in complex high-risk coronary interventions including the use of intracoronary imaging, atherectomy, and mechanical cardiac support. He also has a keen interest in preventive cardiology and cardiovascular screening, and is a strong advocate for the use of imaging in early detection of coronary artery disease and implementation of preventive strategies to slow disease progression.

Dr Jafary has a long history of involvement in academic activities. He has been a co-investigator on multiple clinical studies and has published numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. He is regularly invited to faculty roles at major cardiology meetings and has lectured extensively over the years. He is also a reviewer for several international cardiology journals.
