A/Prof Chua Sze Hon is Executive Director and Senior Consultant Dermatologist at the National Skin Centre (NSC), Singapore. He provides strategic leadership for the centre while remaining actively engaged in specialist clinical work and in the wider development of dermatology practice in Singapore.
His clinical practice is focused on procedural dermatology and dermatological surgery, and he contributes regularly to the Dermatology and Laser Surgery Unit. He manages patients requiring surgical and laser interventions, emphasising safe, effective treatment and consistently good clinical outcomes, with attention to cosmetic as well as functional results.
Alongside his clinical and executive responsibilities, A/Prof Chua is committed to raising professional standards and supporting workforce development. He works closely with multidisciplinary teams and partners across the sector to strengthen clinical practice, service delivery and innovation at NSC.
He is also active on academic and professional platforms regionally and internationally, sharing expertise and contributing to the advancement of the specialty. His contributions to education and leadership have been recognised with several honours, including the NHG Education Leaders Award (2018), NHG Outstanding Citizenship Award (2015), Best Clinical Teacher Award (2011) and the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence (2010).
