Phototherapy and Photodiagnotics Course

The course aims to provide the basis of phototherapy and photo-chemotherapy to equip participants with the relevant knowledge and skill for the safe delivery of phototherapy.

Target Audience
 

Registered Nurses with at least 1-year experience in dermatology setting in healthcare institution.

Course Objectives
 

• At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
• Understand the basic physics of visible light and ultraviolet light.
• Learn the types of light for treating different skin conditions.
• Perform pre and post skin assessment for patients undergoing phototherapy.
• Understand the safety measures of phototherapy administration and maintenance of a phototherapy unit

Learning Methodology

Training Methodology includes:

• Interactive lectures (4 days)
   
• Clinical Attachments (3 days)
• Competency assessment

Course Fee
 

$2,000 (NHG staff);

$2,200 (Non-NHG staff);

$2,500 (Foreign trainees)
