Adj Prof Susan Niam provides visionary leadership for more than 30 allied health professional groups under NHG Health. As Group Chief Allied Health, she steers strategy for sustainable, value-based allied health services. Appointed Singapore’s first Chief Allied Health Officer at MOH in 2018, she also serves as Registrar of the Allied Health Professions Council, shaping national frameworks in care delivery, workforce capability, and professional development. Prior to this, she led Allied Health Services and Pharmacy at TTSH, overseeing 13 disciplines and over 1,200 staff. With more than 30 years of healthcare and community service experience, she has also been active in supporting children, the elderly, and underserved communities in Singapore and Australia. Prof Niam holds a Master of Physiotherapy (Neuroscience) from Curtin University and a Diploma in Physiotherapy from Auckland Institute of Technology, both supported by government scholarships. Her leadership champions excellence, equity, and innovation in allied health.
