Dr Wang Zhongkai is a General Surgeon specialized in hepato-pancreato-biliary (HPB) surgery as well as minimal invasive surgery such as laparoscopic and robotic surgery for benign and malignant HPB conditions.
Dr Wang graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009. In 2017, he obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (FRCSeD) and his specialist accreditation.
In 2018, Dr Wang joined the Department of General Surgery, Woodlands Health as the Chief of the Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery (HPB Surgery) Service and was nested in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). In 2019, he joined the Department of Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Transplant Surgery, in Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he completed his local fellowship in the field of HPB surgery. He then stayed on as a nested Consultant in SGH, prior to the official opening of Woodlands Health where he remains as a visiting consultant. Dr Wang also completed a fellowship in Laparoscopic and Robotic Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary and Transplant Surgery in the prestigious Severance Hospital, Yonsei University, South Korea. Dr Wang has authored several publications in peer reviewed journals in the field of Minimal Invasive Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Surgery. He is also active in the education and training of medical students and surgical residents.
Dr Wang speaks English, Mandarin, French and Hokkien.
