    Biodata

    Dr Tam Howen practises Emergency Medicine with clinical interests in observation medicine and is the clinical lead for WH EDTU (Extended Diagnosis and Treatment Unit). He also has an interest in medical informatics and was involved in the design and implementation of Epic EMR in Singapore. He has worked on projects including clinical documentation improvement, triage workflow efficiency, and improving acute stroke and myocardial infarction outcomes.

    Dr Tam completed his undergraduate medical training at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his specialist training in Emergency Medicine at the National University Hospital in 2016. He also holds diplomas in Sports Medicine and Palliative Medicine from NTU and NUS respectively. He is a Clinical Faculty with NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr Tam was a member of the team which received the NHG Recognition Award in 2022 for the operation of the COVID-19 Treatment Facility in Tampines.
