Dr Soh Yu Qiang is a Consultant with the Department of Ophthalmology, Woodlands Health and National Healthcare Group Eye Institute.
Dr Soh practices Ophthalmology with special clinical interests in retinal detachments, surgical macular pathologies such as epiretinal membranes and vitreomacular traction, as well as complex retinal pathologies including diabetic tractional retinal detachments and secondary scleral intraocular lens fixations.
Dr Soh graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2011, during which he was awarded the Gold Medal and Book Prize in Ophthalmology. From 2011 to 2020, he completed his training as a clinician-scientist in the Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) Ophthalmology residency program. He underwent further subspecialty training in medical and vitreoretinal surgery from 2020 to 2022.
Awards he has won include the outstanding SingHealth resident award in 2012, as well as the National Medical Research Council (NMRC) national outstanding clinician scientist resident award in 2019.
