Dr Serrano Monroy obtained her medical degree and masters in business administration from Ateneo de Manila School of Medicine and Public Health last 2013. She then finished her 5 year General Surgery Residency training in The Medical City. She also achieved her diplomate in general surgery under the Philippine Board of Surgery in 2022. She is currently a Vascular Surgery Fellow under the Philippine Assciation of Thoracic, Cardiac and Vascular Surgery Inc.
