Dr Ashfaq practises emergency medicine with special interests in trauma, critical care and point of care ultrasound.
Dr Ashfaq completed his primary medical qualification MBBS in India from Madras Medical College in 2012. He also completed his Member of Royal College of Emergency Medicine (MRCEM) exam in 2019 and is currently pursuing for fellowship degree.
He had worked through various emergency departments in India and in Singapore before joining Woodlands Health in Sep 2021. He then proceeded to join the Hospital Clinician diploma programme from Jan 2022. Additionally, he also provides patient care at Urgent Care Centre Admiralty.
He attends various ultrasound related courses to up skill his proficiency in point of care ultrasound. Dr Ashfaq firmly believes that patient's trust is of paramount importance for providing quality and holistic care to the patients.
Dr Ashfaq holds membership with WH Junior Doctors committee (WHJDC) representing WH Emergency department and is also an executive member of Kayalpatnam Welfare Association (KWAS). He is also a regular blood donor at the Singapore Red Cross Society.
