Biodata
Dr Lim Rongxuan graduated from the University of Cambridge with triple first class honours and was awarded the Pharmacology Department Prize in her third year of BA study for coming top place in the exam. While at Cambridge, she was also President of the Cambridge University Malaysia and Singapore Association and in 2003, spearheaded a charity campaign to raise funds for the patients stricken by SARS.
She then went on to complete her medical degree at Oxford University and was awarded various scholarships for her academic achievements including the Hugh Pilkington Scholarship and the Ida Mary Henderson Scholarship. She was also awarded the Oxford-NIH Graduate Programme in Biomedical Sciences Scholarship to pursue an attachment with the eye department at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in the United States for her medical electives.
After completing her Academic Foundation Programme (house officer rotations) with the Oxford University Hospitals, Dr Lim moved to London for her Ophthalmology specialist training, where she completed registrar rotations at the world-renowned St Thomas' Hospital and Moorfields Eye Hospital. She was admitted as a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (UK) in 2014.
Dr Lim then underwent Glaucoma fellowship training, first at St Thomas' Hospital and subsequently at Moorfields Eye Hospital. She then returned to Singapore and served as an Ophthalmology Consultant at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital before joining Woodlands Health.
She is well-versed in General Ophthalmology and Glaucoma and is committed to providing holistic care to her patients.
