Dr Lahiru Karunarathna is a budding clinician with a special interest in uro-oncology. He holds an MBBS from the University of Kelaniya, Sri Lanka, and an MSc with Distinction from the University of Essex, United Kingdom. He completed his internship in 2020 and has been working as a middle-grade medical doctor in Urology.

As a GCP-certified clinical researcher through the NIHR in the United Kingdom, he was recognized with the Young Scientist Award at ISAAR 2024 for his research contributions. He has completed an extensive research program at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom, and is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education at the University of Newcastle, United Kingdom.
