Dr Koong Lin Yee practises general surgery with a special clinical interest in hepato-pancreato-biliary surgery.

Dr Koong obtained his MBBS from the University of Malaya (Malaysia) in 2009. He obtained MMED (Surgery) in 2018, and FRCSEd (General Surgery) in 2021. After completion of his surgical training, he further attended fellowship attachments in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National University Hospital for 3 years. Dr Koong joined Woodlands Health in 2021.

Dr Koong strongly believes in the principles of compassionate healthcare. He believes in treating patients as a whole, taking into account the interconnectedness of physical and emotional health. He is committed to fostering a trusting and supportive doctor-patient relationship.

Besides clinical work, Dr Koong is also involved in medical teaching. He is a NHG residency physician faculty. He was also appointed clinical teacher and content expert in LKC Medicine, and YLLSoM clinical lecturer.
