    Biodata

    Dr Juliana Poh practises Emergency Medicine with special clinical interests in geriatric emergency medicine and disaster medicine. In addition, she serves as clinician faculty and examiner for Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

    Dr Poh completed her undergraduate medical training at National University of Singapore in 2000. She obtained membership with the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2006 and completed specialist training in 2010. She was enrolled as a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore in 2010.

    Dr Poh went on to develop her interest in Geriatric Medicine with a Graduate Diploma in Geriatric Medicine from NUS in 2011. She was emergency department lead for disaster medicine and emergency preparedness in her previous institution and completed her European Masters in Disaster Medicine (Universita del Piemonte Orientale, Italy) in 2019.

    Dr Poh is passionate about clinical research and has been principal and co-investigator for local and international grant-funded studies. She presents and lectures at local and international meetings regularly, as she believes in increasing awareness and learning through sharing experiences. She is a member of the WH Clinical Research Committee.

    Awards she has won include Singapore Health Quality Service Award (Silver) in 2010, SGH Service with a Heart Award (2018) and the Quality Improvement Project of the Year at the 17th SGH Quality Convention in 2020.

    Dr Poh joined Woodlands Health in 2021, where she will continue to practise the art and science of medicine as department lead for geriatric emergency care.
