Dr Jason Lim is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who subspecialises in hip and knee replacement surgeries. He completed his undergraduate medical training and graduated with honours from the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom in 2011. He was appointed a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom, in 2012. He obtained his Master of Medicine (Orthopaedic Surgery) from National University of Singapore in 2017 and was appointed a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, United Kingdom (Orthopaedics) in 2019. He completed his Singhealth Orthopaedic Surgery Residency training between 2013 and 2019 and subsequently joined the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Woodlands Health.

Dr Lim was awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) scholarship in 2021 and subsequently completed a one-year fellowship programme at Western University in London Ontario, Canada, where he worked with internationally renowned orthopaedic surgeons and participated actively in hip and knee replacement surgeries including complex and revision surgeries. His practice interests include hip and knee joint replacement surgeries, partial knee replacement, hip resurfacing and minimally invasive direct anterior hip replacement surgery. Dr Lim is also certified to perform robotic joint replacement surgeries and has a subspecialty interest in complex and revision hip and knee replacement surgeries. He strongly believes in the importance of good quality care before, during and after joint replacement surgery in order for the patient to achieve rapid recovery and maximum mobility and is part of the committee of enhanced post-operative recovery for Woodlands Health.

Dr Lim has a keen interest in clinical research involving orthopaedic surgery. He has presented extensively at international orthopaedic conferences and has published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals. He is also actively involved in the teaching of medical students and training of junior doctors.
