Biodata
Dr James Siow is a fellowship trained surgeon who is trained in foot and ankle surgeries. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2009 and went on to complete his specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery. He obtained his Master of Medicine in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2018 and gained admission as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2019.
Dr Siow was awarded an overseas scholarship under the Human Manpower Development Programme by the Ministry of Health in 2021 and completed a one-year fellowship training in the world renown Inselspital, Bern, Switzerland.
His subspecialty interests are in foot and ankle surgeries (including foot and ankle trauma), complex lower limb deformities, and complex/revision foot and ankle surgeries. He is also a strong proponent of minimally invasive surgery of the foot and ankle and applies it whenever feasible to ensure optimal post-operative recovery for his patients. He constantly strives to learn and update himself with better surgical concepts and techniques to improve his patients' outcomes.
Besides his clinical role, Dr Siow is active in teaching Orthopaedic Residents and medical students from both LKC and NUS YLL.
