Dr Deborah Tan obtained her specialist accreditation in general gastroenterology and hepatology after completion of her training in the national Gastro Residency Programme.

She underwent residency training at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, Singapore under the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology. During her residency, Dr Tan obtained her Membership of Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom), Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine, Singapore) and completed the European Specialty Examination in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. She became an accredited specialist in Gastroenterology and Hepatology in 2024.

Dr Tan has special interest in complex liver disorders, obesity and metabolic conditions, in addition to general endoscopy.

Dr Tan speaks English and Mandarin.
