Dr Benita Chiang graduated with Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2015. She was then conferred her Master of Medicine in Internal Medicine from the National University of Singapore, as well as Membership of the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2017. She completed her Internal Medicine residency training in 2018 with National Healthcare Group and subsequently obtained her Certificate of Specialist Accreditation in Cardiology in 2022.
Dr Chiang then obtained her Testamur Status with the National Board of Echocardiography (NBE) in 2022 and the European Heart Failure Association Certification in Heart Failure in 2023.Dr Chiang is currently a Consultant with the Department of Cardiology at Woodlands Health. She is the clinical lead for the heart failure service and her clinical interests include both acute and chronic heart failure palliative care in advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, and echocardiography.
She currently serves as an appointed Clinical Lecturer for Yong Loo Ling School of Medicine, National University of Singapore and Clinical Teacher and Content Expert for Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
