Dr Annie Lai practices Ophthalmology with special clinical interests in neuro-ophthalmology, cataracts, and general ophthalmology. In addition, she serves as a Clinical Lecturer at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and Adjunct Lecturer at the NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.

Dr Lai was awarded a scholarship for her undergraduate medical training at University of Birmingham, United Kingdom which she completed in 2006 and obtained her Master of Medicine in Singapore (Ophthalmology) in 2012. In 2016, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. She was awarded the Ministry of Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) award in 2020 and completed her subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology from 2020 to 2021.
