Biodata

Dr Amanda Cheang practises Otolaryngology with special clinical interests in otology, vestibular disorders, and lateral skull base surgery.

She graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2010 and commenced her Otorhinolaryngology residency in 2013. During the course of her training, she was appointed as Chief Resident for the NHG Otorhinolaryngology Residency Program. She obtained her Membership to the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2012 and Masters of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology (NUS) in 2015. She completed her residency training in 2018 and was accredited as a specialist in Otolaryngology by the Singapore Medical Council. She is currently a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Dr Cheang was awarded the MOH Health Manpower Development Plan Sponsorship to pursue further training in her area of subspecialty interest and completed a one year overseas surgical fellowship in Advanced Otology and Lateral Skull Base Surgery under the tutelage of Dr Rupert Obholzer in London, where she trained in several institutions including Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery and King's College Hospital.

Dr Cheang manages general ENT disorders including ear infections, nasal allergies and head and neck tumours. She has a special interest in the management and treatment of patients with ear-related problems including ear drum and middle ear conditions, hearing loss, lateral skull base tumours (including vestibular schwannomas), facial nerve pathologies and vestibular disorders.
Dr Cheang joined the Woodlands Health ENT Department in 2019. She has been providing ENT services to patients in Tan Tock Seng Hospital and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital in the interim, prior to the formal opening of Woodlands Health.
