Biodata

Asst Prof Joyce Yap is a Senior Consultant Geriatrician in the Department of Continuing & Community Care in Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She currently serves as the Program Director of the NHG Geriatric Medicine Senior Residency Program.

She practices across different healthcare settings, including home-based medical care, inpatient acute care, and nursing home consultancy work. Her clinical interests include falls & balance, exercise prescription in older adults, and point-of-care ultrasound in the community.

She also has a strong interest in medical education and obtained a master’s degree in Health Professions Education from Maastricht University, Netherlands in 2025. She has received several teaching awards, including TTSH Top 20 Teachers Award, NHG Teaching Award for Senior Doctors, and LKCMedicine Special Recognition Award.

She is dedicated to holistic are that addresses each patient’s unique story, social, and psychological needs, integrating exercise and nutrition as key pillars of health and recovery.
