Dr Jacqueline Yang obtained her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery, and Masters of Medicine degrees at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She completed her Internal Medicine Junior Residency and Gastroenterology senior residency with the NHG Health. She attained her specialist accreditation in Gastroenterology by the Specialist Accreditation Board, Singapore.

In addition, she is also an adjunct lecturer at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University and a clinical tutor at the Yong Loo Lim School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She has given talks at local conferences/meetings such as GIHep and National Foundation for Digestive Disease (NFDD) Day.
