Dr Wong is a Senior Consultant with more than 20 years of experience, practising within the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). His key areas of speciality include cancer rehabilitation, musculoskeletal rehabilitation as well as chronic pain rehabilitation. He obtained his clinical fellowship in cancer rehabilitation from the University of Toronto while practising at the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He leads the Oncology Rehabilitation team within TTSH and serves as the Clinical lead for the Clinic for Advanced Rehabilitation Therapeutics (CART) at TTSH.
Dr Wong is the principal lead for LKC School of Medicine students undergoing Rehabilitation Medicine training, as well as the program evaluation committee chair for NHG Rehabilitation Medicine Senior Residency Programme. He has been awarded NHG Teaching award for senior doctors in 2021 and 2024 and NHG Interprofessional teaching award in 2022. In 2025, he was awarded the Healthcare Humanity award (individual category) for his work in cancer rehabilitation.
Being a practitioner of Rehabilitation Medicine, Dr Wong believes in a patient-centred approach and that there is always something that can be done to help his patients.
