Dr Wilnard Tan is an Infectious Diseases Associate Consultant with the National Centre for Infectious Diseases with a desire to provide patient-centred and cost-effective care to patients he sees.

He has a strong interest in the diagnosis and treatment of neurological infections such as meningitis and encephalitis. He also has an interest in travel medicine / vaccines and sees patients in the Travellers’ Health and Vaccination Clinic. Beyond clinical work, Dr Wilnard Tan is also passionate about interdisciplinary approaches to tackling emerging infectious diseases through a One Health approach.

Dr Wilnard Tan actively contributes to research and education in infectious diseases, mentoring future healthcare professionals and engaging in initiatives to improve public health preparedness. His efforts in mentoring juniors have been recognised through multiple teaching awards.
