Biodata

Adj Asst Prof Tracy Tan is a Senior Consultant with the Department of Renal Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). She leads the Kidney Supportive Care Service and holds concurrent appointments as Associate Designated Institutional Official for TTSH and Director of the Institute of Education and Faculty Development at NHG Health. In these roles, she provides leadership in postgraduate medical education governance and oversees faculty development programmes across NHG institutions.

She holds academic appointments as Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and Adjunct Assistant Professor at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University.

Her clinical interests span interventional nephrology, kidney supportive care, and conservative kidney management. Following a fellowship at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, she developed expertise in dialysis access interventions through close collaboration with radiologists and vascular surgeons. Her clinical focus has since evolved towards improving the quality of life for individuals with advanced kidney disease. She currently leads institutional and national initiatives in kidney supportive care. She has contributed to research and publications encompassing case reports, book chapters, and articles on sustainable kidney care.

Her care philosophy is grounded in compassionate, patient-centred practice that empowers individuals with kidney disease to make informed, values-aligned treatment decisions.

With over a decade of experience in medical education, she previously served as Programme Director for the NHG Renal Medicine Residency Programme. She has received multiple accolades for her contributions to education, including the NHG Education Leaders Award, NHG Teaching Award, and recognition as a Top 10 Teacher. She has also conducted numerous faculty development workshops at international medical education conferences.
