Biodata

Dr Tay Jun Yang is a Consultant Infectious Diseases Physician at the National Centre for Infectious Diseases (NCID) and Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). Dr Tay graduated from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine in 2013, gained Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of the United Kingdom in 2018, and completed his specialist training in Infectious Diseases in 2021.

He is the current Head of the National Tuberculosis Screening Centre (NTBSC). His work focuses on strengthening tuberculosis (TB) control in Singapore through education, operational research, and evidence-based screening strategies. He also assists the National TB Programme with the development and implementation of national strategies to reduce TB incidence rates.

Dr Tay is also deeply involved in advancing digital innovations in infectious diseases. His work explores how emerging technologies and artificial intelligence (AI) enabled systems can enhance clinical workflows and support more efficient models of care.

Apart from clinical work, Dr Tay is passionate about medical education and serves as the Associate Programme Director for the NHG Health Internal Medicine Residency Programme as well as Core Clinical Faculty Member for the NHG Health Infectious Diseases Senior Residency Programme. He is also teaching faculty in both NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and NTU Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. His contributions in education were recognised through various awards including the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine Junior Doctor Teaching Award (2019), and the NHG Health Teaching Award for Senior Doctors (2025).
