Dr Tan Pei Lin Lynnette is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Psychiatry, where she provides specialist care in general psychiatry with a clinical focus on geriatric psychiatry. Her core areas include the assessment and management of dementia-related behavioural symptoms and mood disorders in older adults.
Her clinical practice spans a broad range of adult and geriatric mental health conditions, with specialised expertise in behavioural and psychological symptoms of dementia (BPSD), late-life depression and anxiety, and complex psychiatric presentations in the elderly. She is committed to providing holistic, multidisciplinary, and family-inclusive care for seniors and their caregivers.
Dr Tan obtained her MBBS from the National University of Singapore in 2004. She went on to complete her Masters of Medicine, Psychiatry and the Masters of Clinical Investigation at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, Singapore, where she gained foundational expertise in research methodology and clinical investigation. She subsequently pursued advanced subspecialty training through a Clinical Fellowship in Geriatric Psychiatry at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, Canada.
Her contributions to teaching and mentorship have been recognised with the TTSH Top 20 Educators Award in both 2022 and 2025. She remains actively involved in education and is dedicated to guiding and developing future mental health professionals.
She is committed to compassionate, patient-centred care that supports the wellbeing of both patients and their families through every stage of ageing and recovery.
