Biodata

Adj Asst Prof Tan Huei Nuo is a Senior Consultant in the Department of Geriatric Medicine at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. She provides both inpatient and outpatient care, with a clinical focus on comprehensive geriatric assessment and the management of complex medical needs in older adults. Her special interest lies in chronic pain management in the older adults.

Adj Asst Prof Tan graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the National University of Singapore in 1998. She obtained Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) in 2002 and was accredited as a specialist in Geriatric Medicine in 2006. In 2008, she became a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Furthering her interest in pain care, she completed a Master of Medicine (Pain Management) from the University of Sydney in 2016 under the HMDP Fellowship Award.

Adj Asst Prof Tan held various leadership roles, including Head of Department of Geriatric Medicine from 2019 to 2025 and Deputy Head prior to that. During her tenure, she led the Frailty Ready Hospital workstream and championed service development in chronic pain management and geriatric care integration. She has contributed to national guidelines, serves on ministry-level committees, and continues to be active in teaching and research.
