Biodata

Dr Gabriel Siew is a psychiatrist with a special clinical interest in Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy for patients with difficult-to-treat depression, dissociation, psychosomatic conditions, and chronic pain.

His responsibility as Assistant Chief Clinical Informatics Officer in Tan Tock Seng Hospital span telehealth, electronic health records, and education. As Deputy Chief (Clinical) of the Virtual Care Steering Committee, he coordinates telehealth initiatives according to organizational objectives. As an Epic Physician Builder and lead clinical informaticist for the Hospital Informatics Network (HINt), he is involved in clinical informatics curriculum design and training, integrating sociotechnical system theory with adult learning principles to create efficient, user-friendly interfaces aimed at improving clinician efficiency.

He was previously active in undergraduate medical education, receiving the TTSH Best Teacher Award (Junior) in 2022, NHG Health Teaching Award for Senior Doctors in 2024, and the LKC Medicine Special Recognition Award in 2025.

He applies his combined clinical, informatics, and education expertise to improve patient outcomes and clinician efficiency, leveraging technology in direct patient care while designing streamlined systems and training colleagues to deliver higher-value care with reduced administrative burden.
