Asst Prof Sapna Pradip Sadarangani received her MBBS from the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. She completed her Internal Medicine-Paediatrics Residency training at the Western Michigan University, USA in 2012 being Chief Med-Peds resident from 2011-2012. Her Infectious Diseases Fellowship training was at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN, USA in 2012-2015 where she won the Joseph Geraci Award in Infectious Diseases in 2015. She is board certified with ABIM for Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and with ABP for Paediatrics, and Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. Dr Sadarangani is an Infectious Diseases physician at NCID and completed her MSc in Public Health with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with Distinction.

She is a board member for the Chapter of Infectious Diseases Physicians, Academy of Medicine, Singapore (AMS). Dr Sadarangani was the founding co-chair of the Paediatrics (Obstetrics/Neonatal) ID Workgroup from 2018-2024, and currently supports the WG as Advisor.

Dr Sadarangani was deployed as clinical management expert on both in-person and remote World Health Organisation (WHO) Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network (GOARN) missions supporting measles outbreak response in Mongolia in 2024 and 2025. Her professional and research interests are in vaccinology/vaccine-preventable diseases, global health, emerging infectious diseases, outbreak preparedness, tropical medicine, climate change, sustainable healthcare, and environmental health and holds the appointment of Assistant Professor with the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine. Dr Sadarangani has served as Deputy Clinical Advisor, Clinical Advisor Office (CAO), Communicable Diseases Agency (CDA), Singapore since 2025 and will assume her appointment as Clinical Advisor, CAO, CDA from January 2026.
