Asst Prof Timothy Quek is Head and Senior Consultant of the Department of Endocrinology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH). He leads a dedicated multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive care for patients with a broad range of hormonal conditions including diabetes and thyroid disorders.
Asst Prof Quek graduated as class valedictorian with MBBS (Honours) from the National University of Singapore and obtained specialist accreditation in Endocrinology in 2016. He has also pursued advanced training in epidemiology, data science, and health economics, equipping him with a strong foundation to integrate clinical practice, research and innovation for the benefit of his patients.
As Chair of the TTSH Diabetes Mellitus Steering Committee and a member of several national and cluster level workgroups, Asst Prof Quek has been actively involved in advancing integrated diabetes services, strengthening patient safety, and shaping healthcare policies.
Beyond his clinical leadership, Asst Prof Quek is passionate about education. He is an Assistant Professor (Clinical Practice) at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University, and a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore. He has received multiple awards for teaching and service, reflecting his commitment to nurturing future generations of healthcare professionals.
Approachable and patient-centred, Asst Prof Quek believes in working closely with patients and their families to guide them through treatment with clarity, care, and compassion. He also publishes actively on diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrinological conditions in international journals.
